About Gilly
Gilly is a 14yo Standardbred gelding, with a lovely nature.
Gilly finished racing in October 2018, after having 165 starts and earning just over $62,000. He retired sound, just too slow and had enough of racing.
Gilly is good to handle, catch, float, worm, shoe etc but can be a bit timid and standoffish until he trusts you.
He has been exposed to dogs, farm animals, machinery and vehicles and is good paddocked with other horses.
Gilly was started under saddle in 2019 but is still very green. He has been out on several trail rides but hasn’t been ridden for several months so will need someone with experience and prepared to take their time with him to bring him back into work slowly.
Gilly is in good health and is sadly needing to find a new home due to his current families change of circumstances.
