About King
King is a 6yo Bay Standardbred gelding who retired from racing in October 2021 after having 15 starts and earning just almost $19,000. King retired sound, he just had enough of racing.
King is well mannered, good to handle (can be pushy with inexperienced handlers), worm, tie-up & catch and gets on well with other horses. He can be a little hesitant to load on a straight load float but travels well once on.
King was professionally started under saddle 12 months ago, after spending 6 weeks with Silver Shadows Rehoming and Education in South Australia. He has only been used for pleasure rides on property but has not had much work during the last 2 months so would require an understanding experienced handler to bring him back into work.
King is in good health, up to date with worming and dental. He is a sweet boy and his is owner would like to find him a loving home.
