About Cam

Cam is a rising 11yo Bay Standardbred gelding who only just retired from his racing career on 28^th September, 2023 after having 54 starts and earning $15,909 for his owners. He retired due to a minor bowed tendon (front near side) but is not lame and no longer appears to affect him.

Cam’s owner says he is an absolute pleasure to have around, a real gentleman and is such a gentle boy. He is very well mannered and excellent to handle, shoe, worm, tie up, float and do anything with. He has been exposed to farm machinery, vehicles, other animals and children with no issues.

Cam has not been started under saddle but would not take much for someone with experience to educate him in their chosen discipline. Cam has had learners drive him at home without any issues and never did a thing wrong at the races.

He would be an ideal pleasure harness horse, but would also excel in the show ring with his good looks and conformation. He has also been to shows as well, and took everything in his stride.

Cam’s owner would love to see him find a home where he will be loved and well cared for.
