About Lindy
Lindy is a 14yo Bay Standardbred mare looking for a loving home through the SAQ Adoption Program.
Lindy retired from racing in April 2013, after having only 20 starts and earning $9,421.
For the past decade, Lindy has dedicated herself to motherhood, having 8 foals, many of whom are currently still thriving on the racetrack. As a nurturing mother, Lindy has been a beacon of love and care, but now her owner wishes to find her a loving home where she can enjoy her well-deserved retirement.
Lindy is a true gem, known for her exceptional manners and ease of handling. She is great to shoe, worm, tie up, and do anything with. She has been exposed to farm machinery, vehicles, animals, and children, displaying her calm and adaptable nature with grace.
Although she hasn’t been started under saddle yet, her owner believes she should take to it quickly with the right guidance.
Lindy is in good health but does currently have mild Queensland Itch which is being managed with rugging.
