Though Doug retired sound, he did experience some breathing issues under high pressure during racing, but rest assured, this should not affect his quality of life after racing.

Doug is well-mannered and easy to handle—whether it’s shoeing, worming, tying up, or floating, he’s a pro at it all. He’s also been exposed to farm machinery, vehicles, other animals, and children without a hitch, even being handled by young children with ease.

Although Doug hasn’t been started under saddle yet, his owner believes he’ll adapt quickly with the right guidance. He’s a blank canvas, eagerly waiting for someone to shape his next chapter.
