About Tilly
Tilly is a lovely 12 year old Bay Standardbred mare who, although never raced, has all the wonderful qualities you would want in a companion.
Friendly and affectionate, she enjoys human company and brings a calm, gentle presence to any environment. Tilly is easy to handle on the ground—she is great to catch, worm, tie up, and float. She is well accustomed to farm life, having been exposed to machinery, vehicles, other animals, and children without issue. The only thing she is not fond of is having her back feet trimmed, but with patience and kindness, this can continue to be managed.
Tilly was started under saddle a few years ago but hasn’t been ridden recently, so she will need a refresher from someone with a calm and confident approach.
Tilly is sound, in good health, and ready to step back into work or simply enjoy life as a paddock companion.
Tilly is looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s circumstances. She would thrive in a loving environment where she will receive ongoing attention, care and gentle training.
