About Jagger
Jagger is a sweet-natured 14yo Bay Standardbred gelding looking for his forever home.
Jagger may not have made it to the race track, but he’s had a fulfilling life as a Riding for the Disabled horse and recently as a companion for a young disabled man.
Due to a change in his paddock and herd, Jagger’s behaviour has shifted, especially around mares, showing a more dominant side. However, with other geldings and confident handling, he is well-mannered and easy to manage.
He is great with shoeing, worming, tying up, and floating. Jagger is sensible under saddle, and really enjoys trail rides. He is in good health, though he does have mild Queensland Itch.
Jagger needs a loving, experienced home where he’ll receive plenty of attention and firm guidance. He’s ready to thrive with someone who can see past his tough exterior and appreciate his lovable nature.
Jagger is the kind of horse who thrives on routine and bonds deeply with his handlers. He’s been known to nuzzle up for a scratch behind the ears and show his softer side once he feels secure and understood.
