About Ninja
Ninja is an 11 yo bay Standardbred gelding with a lovely, quiet nature and a calm, easy-going personality.
After an impressive racing career of 164 starts and earnings of just over $78,000, Ninja retired sound from racing in October 2025 and is now ready to discover just how good life after racing can be.
Despite his extensive racing experience, Ninja has a wonderfully relaxed temperament and is a pleasure to have around. He has excellent ground manners and is easy to do anything with. He is well behaved for the farrier and is easy to catch, worm, tie up and float. Ninja has been exposed to vehicles, other horses, animals and children and takes these experiences in his stride. His sensible and laid-back nature makes him an appealing prospect for someone looking for a steady companion.
Ninja has not yet been started under saddle, but his owner believes his willing and sensible attitude will help him transition into ridden work with the right guidance. As with any recently retired Standardbred, he will need someone who is prepared to give him time, patience and appropriate education as he learns his new role.
