We are excited to announce that we have taken delivery of our brand new, professional quality dressage arena. This has been long awaited and we are thrilled that it arrived before our upcoming dressage extravaganza!

Update on sponsorship from Kristen:

  • 135 sponsorship packages have been issued so far, across the weekend of 25th/26th March.
  • A total of 3 positive responses have been received so far, ranging from $100 to $250 in vouchers (totals) – NRG, Kentucky Equine Research, Kohnke’s Own
  • Unfortunately, we have received 8 responses advising that the organisation is not able to offer sponsorship currently.
  • One organisation has requested for further information and a completed application form.
  • I will be continuing to research further potential sponsors and sending out another round of packages.
  • Courtesy reminder emails will also be sent at the 4-week mark to those who have not responded yet (to accept or decline).

We have just received the funding flood mitigation; this is wonderful news to get to work rectifying the flood damage to the arena to prevent further damage moving forward.

I visited with Amanda Chant from Neverland Equestrian this past weekend. It was wonderful to spend time with her and her horses, getting to learn about her concepts and applications of techniques used for re-educating Standardbreds, getting them rehomed for lives after their racing careers.

With show / event season well underway, I just want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to be kind to eachother. SAQ has zero tolerance for any type of bullying behaviour – if anyone needs clarification on what this behaviour entails please send me an email and I will happily provide this information. It is also important for competitors and attendees of SAQ events to be mindful that we implemented caution cards in 2022 and these will be utilised if deemed necessary.

On a personal level, I have been making time to have fun with my own horses and it has been nothing short of amazing! It’s important to remember to slow down sometimes and indulge in things that bring you happiness.
