George is a 9yo Bay Standardbred gelding who has recently retired from a successful racing career in March 2024, with an impressive 116 starts and earnings surpassing $161,000. George retired sound, just no longer competitive as a racehorse.
Despite his impressive track record, it is George’s gentle nature and friendly demeanor that truly sets him apart. He is well mannered, great to handle, worm, tie-up, float and catch and do anything with. His exposure to various stimuli, including other horses, cars, machinery, trucks, dogs, and children, has been seamless, highlighting his adaptable and easy going temperament.
While George hasn’t been started under saddle, his owner believes that his sensible and easy-going nature and great work ethic should facilitate a smooth transition to a saddle horse. He is a blank canvas, eagerly awaiting someone to shower him with love and provide him with an education in their chosen discipline.
