About Dante
Dante is a 13yo Bay Standardbred gelding who retired from a successful racing career in December 2021 after having 120 starts and earning just over $156,000.
He retired due to a minor suspensory injury (front near side) but was given 12 months to heal and has since been deemed sound and healthy by his vet.
Dante has character and has been known to open a gate if not latched properly. He likes to put his ears back and act scary, but really just wants a cuddle.
He is well mannered and very good to handle, shoe, worm, tie up, float and do anything with. He does like to be left alone when eating as he loves his food! He has been exposed to farm machinery, vehicles, other animals and children with no issues.
Dante was professionally started under saddle in 2022 and has since been ridden by a 13yo beginner rider under the guidance of her instructor.
He requires someone with experience as he is still very green and has huge movement in his gaits. He would excel in the show ring with his good looks and conformation but would also suit dressage due to his lovely movement.
Dante is in good health and is up to date with dental, vaccinations, worming and farrier.
